How exactly does this stuff ';sense'; your skin tone? Does anyone know the technology behind this foundation? Is there any real revolutionary technological advance or is it just a makeup that is semi-transparent?How does Almay's Smart Shade makeup work?

it is colorless so when you put it on the little color beads that are in there blend into your skin. That stuff is crap it is a waste of money learn your skin tone and but the correct one. Revlon has a mix and match one where if you have a odd skin tone you can mix two together to find your perfect color.
First off, a word of warning- you should have pretty good skin to begin with this, since coverage is not great. It will not conceal blemishes but it evens out slight skin discoloration. This feels more like a tinted moisturizer than foundation. It doesn't feel like you have any makeup on.
